Game One:

Eclypsia Bans:

Rengar, Orianna, Jayce

Eclypsia Picks:

fredy122 - Top - Renekton

tabzz - Mid - Ahri

kilwar - ADC - Tristana

kazmitch - Support - Taric

ImSoFresh - Jungle - Nunu

KMT Bans:

Fizz, Sona, Shen

KMT Picks:

arQuel - Top - Yorick

r3dz0r - Mid - Katarina

Nzq - ADC - Ezreal

Wost Sona EU - Support - Lulu

Woolite - Jungle - Lee Sin

Renekton (fredy122) dominate Yorick (arQuel) frrom minute one in top lane. It was good to see tabzz playing again as he had a great game as Ahri. r3dz0r matched him as Katarina in lane, but tabzz's early game roaming was much more successful. KMT's high mobility comp experienced a resurgence in mid game as Yorick's ult allowed Katarina to go all in for 20 seconds. Eclypsia maintained their overall advantage and were able to end the game with Tristana (kilwar) sniping from the back lane and taking target after target down.

EC 1, KMT 0

Game Two:

Eclypsia Picks:

fredy122 - Top - Renekton

tabzz - Mid - Diana

kilwar - ADC - Ashe

kazmitch - Support - Taric

ImSoFresh - Jungle - Lee Sin

KMT Picks:

arQuel - Top - Shen

r3dz0r - Mid - Evelynn

Nzq - ADC - Caitlyn

Wost Sona EU - Support - Lulu

Woolite - Jungle - Jarvan IV

KMT were allowed to pick Shen for arQuel and seemed much more comfortable with this comp heading into game two. Their confidence paid off and they enjoyed a 10-0 start, seven of them going to Evelynn (r3dz0r), and a huge farm advantage for Caitlyn (Nzq) over Ashe (kilwar). Evelynn made KMT's first mistake just after the 20 minute mark and got stuck under a turret, starting off a retreat in which they lost three champions for free. Lee Sin (ImSoFresh) was able to pull off a clutch Baron steal at 28 minutes, but it did little more than slow KMT down and EC's nexus fell at 35 minutes.

EC 1, KMT 1

Game Three:

Eclypsia Bans:

Rengar, Lulu, Shen

Eclypsia Picks:

fredy122 - Top - Jayce

tabzz - Mid - Ahri

kilwar - ADC - Corki

kazmitch - Support - Taric

ImSoFresh - Jungle - Udyr

KMT Bans:

Fizz, Nunu, Sona

KMT Picks:

arQuel - Top - Yorick

r3dz0r - Mid - Evelyn

Nzq - ADC - Ezreal

Wost Sona EU - Support - Soraka

Woolite - Jungle - Jarvan IV

KMT were able to take the first dragon of the game after getting ahead in kills and it seemed Eclypsia would have to work for their series to the end. Eclypsia were able to outfarm KMT in every lane despite their early struggles. EC started winnning engagements as mid game developed. The game came to a head at a 25 minute dragon dance where KMT mysitfyingly hard engaged and quickly got overhwelmed for their aggression. EC picked up dragon, followed by Baron and an ace, forcing the surrender vote from KMT. It is always somewhat bemusing to have such a close series end so abruptly, but the farm discrepancy showed that Eclypsia would only be getting stronger.

EC 2, KMT 1

Key Team Fight:

The deciding team fight was in the third game. Jarvan IV (Woolite) forced an ill-advised engagement and eclipsed his team's chances in the series with one fell swoop.

Most Valuable Player:

The MVP of the match goes to fredy122 for dominating arQuel in games one and three by outfarming, outpushing, and knowing when to join his team.

Fnatic outclass MYM and take a 2-0 victory

Game 1

Bans

Fnatic: Sona, Zilean, Yorick MYM: Jayce, Shen, Rengar

Picks

Fnatic: Ezreal (AD), Zyra (sup), Lee Sin (jun), Malphite (top), Diana (mid). MYM: Udyr (jun), Nunu (sup), Vayne (AD), Lux (mid), Vladimir (top).

A 1v1 in the jungle led to MYM picking up first blood via Mokatte who then headed botlane and picked up another fast kill. s0AZ was unfortunately having quite severe lag issues which contributed to him being killed under tower by Vlad. Once he  gets ahead it’s hard to stop Vlad and he pulled out quite a large CS lead. Over in botlane Vayne was having a terrible time, being behind on CS as well as having four deaths at the 15 minute mark. MYM had a small lead for quite some time but after a really nice fight near the Dragon Pit, Fnatic evened up the gold and took the kill lead. After that shift of momentum, Fnatic seized full control of the game and quickly took the first Inhib and a Nexus tower. However, a nice call from MYM allowed them to take Baron and this stalled Fnatic’s cruise to victory. Fnatic did manage to take the next Baron and win a teamfight in the process, taking game one shortly after.

Game 2

Bans

MYM: Jayce, Malphite, Zyra. Fnatic: Sona, Zilean, Rengar.

Picks

MYM: Shen (top), Corki (AD), Taric (sup), Anivia (mid), Maokai (jun). Fnatic: Ezreal (AD), Nunu (sup), Skarner (jun), Orianna (mid), Kennen (top).

MYM started highly aggressive as Maokai camped botlane at level one, taking Twisted Advance and securing first blood for Corki. This set him behind a little in his jungle as Skaner took his blue and an Exp lead. At 20 minutes the teams were even on kills- however superior farm and Dragon control meant Fnatic had a large 6k gold lead. Fnatic spent the game edging more and more ahead and ended up taking a fast win at 27 minutes. MYM never really seemed to be able to get into this game; despite them managing to keep up in kills for quite some time, Fnatic always looked in control.

MVP: xPeke takes this one. With fantastic play over both games, he was a key contributor to Fnatic’s victories. With fantastic roaming on Diana and sick farm on Orianna (293 at 26 minutes) as well as a 6/0/6 score, he really stole the show.

Fnatic are looking really strong and while MYM made a valiant effort to keep up with them, they were outclassed today. They still managed some exciting plays (the first Baron in game one and the level one lane gank in game two) but today was Fnatics day and they progress onto the next round!

4not sneaks by Chupper's Troopers in a close three game series

Chuuper's Troopers vs. 4Not

Game One:

Only the first few minutes of game were casted, but CT took little time to get Rengar (Nickwu) rolling and shutting down VMan7's AP Alistar mid. While 4Not's intentions in champion select were unclear, their results were abyssmal and they dropped game one 28/7.

CT 1, 4Not 0

Game Two:

CT Bans:

Diana, Shen, Malphite

CT Picks:

I Am Tera - Top - Lee Sin

Daegen - Mid - Orianna

Chuuper - ADC - Draven

Kelsey Jeong - Support - Blitzcrank

Nickwu - Jungle - Shyvana

4Not Bans:

Rengar, Alistar, Ezreal

4Not Picks:

OnebadBrad - Top - Jayce

VMan7 - Mid - Evelynn

paroL - ADC - Graves

Neko the Cat - Support - Lulu

jdwut - Jungle - Dr. Mundo

This was a sad game to watch. Everyone but Draven (Chuuper) and Blitzcrank (Kelsy Jeong) were extremely fed for CT by the twenty minute mark. Graves (paroL) and Lulu (Neko the Cat) were able to push, deny, and farm very well off of Draven and Blitz wherever they went. Dr. Mundo (jdwut) became extremely tanky by mid game despite being behind and became a Blitzcrank hook magnet. Kelsy Jeong's Blitzcrank inexperience really showed and came to a head when he pulled Mundo into Baron pit as CT were finishing up the 27 minute Baron that would have sealed their victory. Mundo was able to steal it and put his team well back in the game. 4Not's six item builds were much scarier and Shyvana (Nickwu) could not compete with Mundo tankiness. 4Not were still behind in gold for the next 20 minutes, but that didn't stop them from taking three inhibitors and winning the game as waves of enhanced minions poured into CT's base.

Game Three:

CT Bans:

Diana, Evelynn, Malphite

CT Picks:

I Am Tera - Top - Lee Sin

Daegen - Mid - Ahri

Chuuper - ADC - Ezreal

Daydreamin - Support - Leona

Kelsey Jeong - Jungle - Nunu

4Not Bans:

Rengar, Blitzcrank, Alistar

4Not Picks:

OnebadBrad - Top - Jayce

VMan7 - Mid - Mordekaiser

paroL - ADC - Graves

Neko the Cat-Support - Janna

jdwut - Jungle - Shen

I Am Tera played a brilliant Lee Sin once again, but his team suffered from the same loss of lead and late game hopes as they did in game two. The agression that got Ezreal (Chuuper) and Leona (Daydreamin) so far ahead early turned against them when Shen (jdwut) got his ultimate and Mordekaiser (VMan7) did not hesitate to follow Ahri (Daegan) when she roamed bottom. I Am Tera managed to work his magic two team fights in a row to ace 4Not, but CT were unable to follow up with a significant objective. CT lost yet another game that a more experienced team would have won.

CT 1, 4Not 2

Key Team Fight:

The key team fight came in game two when Mundo was handed a Baron steal on a platter and CT got whiped out. This was when CT lost all control of the game and the series. They will need to learn to win games like this if they want to be successful any time soon.

Most Valuable Player:

paroL carried his team when he was the only with a respectable amount of gold for 4Not. He was able to stay relevant and use his relevancy throughout each game to give his team the time they needed to catch up.
